President & Chief Executive Officer
Pamela joined Precera Bioscience at the beginning of January 2018 as President, Chief Executive Officer and Board Director.
Pamela has 30 years of diverse pharmaceutical experience and a proven track record of innovating and building successful companies, divisions, product portfolios and global brands. She has been based in Commercial functions as well as R&D, Operations, Business Development and General Management. Pamela has extensive leadership and launch experience in global & U.S. markets, with primary care, hospital and specialty products across numerous therapeutic areas.
Prior to joining Precera, Pamela was the President & COO for ContraMed. Her previous posting was the Chief Operating Officer for Medicines360, a women’s health biotech company. Pamela’s previous two positions were Vice President of Marketing for Alpharma (King) Pharmaceuticals and Nycomed Pharmaceuticals. She also held commercial leadership positions in Bayer Pharmaceuticals and Sanofi-Aventis. Pamela earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Western Ontario in Canada and an MBA from the University of New Haven in Connecticut.
J. Scott Daniels, PhD
Chief Scientific Officer
J. Scott Daniels, PhD is a seasoned executive in pharmaceutical research and development. Dr. Daniels has advanced the field of biotransformation and drug metabolism during tenures at The DuPont Pharmaceuticals, Millennium Pharmaceuticals, and Pfizer, publishing in areas of drug metabolism, chemical toxicology and pharmacology. His interdisciplinary research team experience has afforded Dr. Daniels with opportunities to innovate within the fields of drug metabolism and pharmacokinetics, and bioanalytical chemistry.
Prior to arriving at Precera, Dr. Daniels was the Director of Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) in the Department of Pharmacology/Center for Neuroscience Drug Discovery at Vanderbilt University Medical School. Dr. Daniels received his undergraduate degree in Biology and Chemistry from Southwest Baptist University, his doctorate in Chemistry at University of Missouri-Columbia, and his post-doctoral research in chemical toxicology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Senior Vice President of Business Development & Operations
Betty joined Precera Bioscience in April 2018 as Senior Vice President of Business Development & Operations.
Betty brings a diverse set of skills and broad knowledge from her 30 years of diagnostics and pharmaceutical experience. She has extensive leadership in directing teams and launching products in the primary care, specialty, and oncology markets. Through a personalized and strategic approach, Betty has formed successful partnerships that resulted in value to both the client and the organization, while also evaluating the potential impact of external factors and market trends.
Prior to joining Precera, Betty was the Vice President Strategic Initiatives with Diatherix Laboratories. Previously, she was with AstraZeneca where she held various Regional Director positions within the Payer Market, Oncology and Primary Care divisions. Betty earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Texas Lutheran University.
CFO - Advisor
Andy joined Precera Bioscience in May 2018 as Chief Financial Officer. Andy
is an experienced corporate finance executive with 20 years of progressive
experience building and leading finance and accounting functions.
Prior to joining Precera, Andy served as a CFO and executive consultant for
several Nashville-based health care companies at various stages of
development. He began his career in auditing and assurance services with
both Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young after graduating from Samford
University with an undergraduate degree in accounting.
Tara W. Chang, MD
Dr. Chang is a respected leader in anatomic and clinical pathology in Middle Tennessee. Board certified with the College of American Pathologists and the American Society of Clinical Pathology, Dr. Chang is uniquely positioned to lead the CLIA regulated laboratory activities at Precera.
Dr. Chang received her bachelors of science degree from The University of Akron and a medical degree from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine. During her Boston University residency and subsequent Pathology Fellowship at Brown University, Dr. Chang was afforded broad research opportunities and presented papers related to GI and cardiovascular medicine, as well as contemporary immunohistochemical analysis.
Ryan D. Morrison
Director of Research and Development
Ryan D. Morrison is an industry innovator who has built laboratories in the pharmaceutical and contract research industry for more than 15 years. Mr. Morrison has developed and validated quantitative pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic assays required for FDA submission, specializing in automated, high throughput drug metabolism analyses.
Prior to joining Precera, Mr. Morrison was at Pfizer and Vanderbilt University in the Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics group. Mr. Morrison received his undergraduate degree from Greenville College in Biology and Chemistry.
Stephen B. Milne, PhD
Stephen B. Milne, PhD is an expert in multiplex measurements employing mass spectrometry. Prior to joining Precera, Dr. Milne was at Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he developed new approaches to identify key lipid biomarkers that are important to disease progression.
With supervisory experience in both analytical and toxicology settings, Dr. Milne has more than 60 combined published patents and manuscripts in fields relevant to Precera’s innovation, and is critical to the development to Precera’s current and future technology advancements. He holds an undergraduate degree from the Kentucky Wesleyan College and master’s and doctoral degrees in chemistry from Vanderbilt University.
Vice President Human Resources & Commercial Compliance
Elizabeth Villalobos has over 20 years of Human Resources experience in HR program management & analytics, compensation, benefits, compliance, change management, mergers & acquisitions integration, and employee and labor relations. Her experience includes building HR departments from the ground-up as well as leading and implementing HR initiatives across Domestic and International business units. She most recently headed up HR-related projects for organizations such as the San Francisco Giants, Luxe, and Mazda Computing.
Elizabeth has also held various positions including HRBP, HR Manager and Director level positions at companies such as Dolby, M360/AP360, Brocade, Genentech, Cardno Entrix, Envision, and The Clorox Company.
